Topic

Protection of storage occupancies with automatic fire sprinklers continues to evolve as customers demand flexibility with regard to types of commodity, height of storage, and racking schemes. In cooperation with a major retailer, Reliable has completed seven full scale fire tests to address these issues. This presentation will review the test protocol, the test results, and minimum recommendations for various storage schemes, with a major focus on minimizing overall water demands for systems.

Speaker

Cary Webber is a 36-year veteran of the fire sprinkler industry, having held positions as designer, estimator, project manager, service manager and inspections manager. Mr. Webber was hired in 2012 by The Reliable Automatic Sprinkler Co., Inc. as a Technical Service Manager for the West Coast region. Cary has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington and an Associate in Applied Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Spokane Community College. He has been N.I.C.E.T. certified as a level IV Senior Engineering Technician in fire protection technology automatic sprinkler system layout.
