Summary

An overview of the new California Amendments in the 2016 Codes, that are effective on January 1, 2017.  This will also provide a look at the proposed code changes that will be coming the 2016 Supplemental Codes, which will be effective July 1, 2018.  These will be codes that are from the Office of the State Fire Marshal Workgroups, or code packages are moved early from the model codes to address current issues within the state.

Bio

Greg Andersen is the Division Chief of Code Development & Analysis for the Office of the State Fire Marshal.  He has over 15 years of experience in the California State Fire Marshal’s Office.  Greg holds a Master of Arts in Leadership Studies, a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management, an Associate of Science in Business Administration, & an Associate of Science in Fire Technology.  He is a certified Fire Marshal through the State Board of Fire Services.
