Description:
Revit, from Autodesk, is a multidisciplinary BIM software used by building design professional to produce consistent, coordinate, and complete moedel-based building building designs and documentation. Fire protection professionals can now leverage Viking Tools for Revit to develop more efficient and accurate workflows in Revit. Viking Tools for Revit has the VSH "DesignManager" software for halocarbon agents FK-5-1-12 and HFC227ea embedded in the Viking for Revit tool bar so clean agent calculations can be performed. Viking Tools for Revit will provide design professionals a convenient means of checking and sizing of clean agent fire protection as well as fire sprinkler and high expansion foam systems.
Biography:
Doug has been in the fire industry for thirty yeas and is currently the Viking Corporations' Business Development Manager for Special Hazards for the Western United States. Doug has been with Viking for 18 months and the parent company, Minimax, for almost 10 years. Doug has twenty-one years of experience in estimating, design, installation, testing& service of fire alarm systems and special hazard suppression systems and has over 10 years of experience in the manufacturing side of the business in roles of Business Development and Manager of Technical Support and Training. Doug graduated from CSU Sacramento with a BS in Business Administration, is active with NICET, and holds a Fire Protection Engineering Technology certifications in Fire Alarm Systems and Special Hazard Suppression Systems. Currently, Doug is on the Fire Suppression System Association (FSSA) Technical Committee and is involved in a variety of the FSSA's special task groups.
